Seminars, workshops, and guest lectures that go beyond the classroom.
Beyond the syllabus โ sessions on career pathways, wellbeing, and the world after 10th standard.
We invited an Australian permanent resident and citizen โ originally from a family near our home in Yavatmal, now working as a biotechnology engineer in Sydney โ to speak with our students. He shared valuable insights into how science and technology careers work in Australia: how employers hire, what research pathways look like, how to pursue a PhD abroad, and what academic routes lead into biotechnology, biomedicine, and biochemistry. He answered every question our students raised and helped them understand the scale of opportunity that a career in science and research can offer outside India โ and why choosing science, especially research and development, is a genuinely rewarding long-term path.

In towns like Yavatmal, parents often focus heavily on academic performance, pushing children hard toward marks and results while overlooking their overall wellbeing. This single-minded academic pressure can take a real toll on students' mental and physical health, sometimes leading to serious psychological stress. To address this, we invited Dr. Barlota, who spent nearly three hours with parents and students discussing the psychological and physical wellbeing of children during their crucial growth years (ages 10โ12). Drawing on real clinical cases, Dr. Barlota offered practical, compassionate guidance on recognising stress in children and supporting their holistic development โ not just their academics.

Held every year for students who have just completed 10th standard, this seminar walks students through why science is a strong career choice: the different streams within science โ basic science versus applied science โ and where each path leads. We aim to motivate students stepping into 11th standard to make informed, confident decisions about their academic future, because a career built on science and technology remains one of the most resilient and economically rewarding pathways in India's growing economy.
